Jakarta – Finance ministers met in San Francisco, attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and discussed the world economic situation that is currently under pressure.
"This meeting discussed the global economy in the United States (US) and China and its impact on the world," Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said through her Instagram account @smindrawati on Wednesday.
According to the Minister, the United States is currently experiencing inflationary pressure which has led to an increase in interest rates. Meanwhile, China is experiencing a weakening domestic economy, one of which comes from the property sector.

"The APEC forum is a space to discuss this issue. We understand fiscal policy is needed to respond to world conditions," Minister Indrawati explained.
In addition, Indonesia shared experiences and lessons from post-pandemic economic recovery. Including how to maintain the economy in the midst of economic shocks that have been passed from fuel to food.
Furthermore, this meeting discussed the issue of climate change. In this case, sustainable financing was discussed again.
"An issue that is not easy, especially related to financing a country's energy transition," the Minister remarked.
